This juniper is planted in pumice stone.
The tree is about 5" high and about 10
" in dia. I pruned it pretty heavily in
August of 2007. The picture above is
what it looked like before pruning.
The pruning was to develop better
foliage pads and refine the image. It
should improve with time.

This is the tree as of March 2011. It has not been pruned or shaped
since 2009. This was to allow the tree to recover better from the
repotting into this rock and from the pruning done that year. It will
get pruned a bit later in the spring.
